Stu and I loaded up the car with a dozen land and sea scapes this morning and drove them to the Ukiah Players' Theatre gallery (lobby) where Tom, the curator, met us and we go the show hung. Their production of The Hobbit opens this Thursday evening, and we are having an Artist Reception on Wednesday September 24 from 4 to 6 pm.
We stopped at the Farmer's Market and the Food Coop on the way home. We have lots of yummy ripe tomatoes and lots of basil, so we wanted to get some fresh mozzarella balls. The coop was fully stocked on all their other cheeses and totally out of what we wanted. Another shopper was also looking for it. Apparently all over Ukiah, everybody's tomatoes are ripe and everybody want to make the same salad this weekend, and we got there too late! I don't know what the other shopper ended up with but we brought home a small piece of Manchego instead.
When we got home an unpacked, I leaned the big canvas tote that hold paintings up against a wall. In no time the cats had it knocked down flat and were in it. They then spent the afternoon watching me paint the trim around the new door and window in the computer room. We think they are highly entertaining to watch and apparently they think the same of us. PICTURES OF CATS IN THE BAG PLUS A STILL LIFE COMPOSITION HERE.
